Welcome
The mission of Rocky Mountain Infection Control Association (RMICA) is to promote and facilitate education related to infection prevention and control, and epidemiology, to preventionists throughout the Intermountain West. This mission is accomplished by:
- Promoting the development and administration of a quality infection prevention and control program in health care settings.
- Providing continuing education for infection preventionists through presentation by experts on infection prevention and control and related topics.
- Providing opportunities for infection preventionists to network and problem solve.
- Serving as an educational resource for the community.
- Advocating the development of laws and guidelines which are consistent with current infection prevention and control standards and practice.
Through this mission, RMICA endeavors to improve and enhance the quality of care provided to patients by health care providers and decrease the risk of occupational exposures associated with the delivery of patient care.
